Two Motifs Inspired By Religion

After years of in-depth search of various religions from East to West, I recognize that as human beings we have two main psychological motives.

First motive

Whether we like it or not, we know how to distinguish between pure and filthy, between true and false, between good and desirable — and between bad and unnecessary.

Not always consciously, but these distinctions can also be expressed in emotions of different kinds.

Second motive

As we grow older we understand more and more the need for salvation to the point that good and bad become irrelevant compared to salvation itself.

Salvation is given not only to the good, but to the brave — to those who have the courage to seek it.
