Intellectuals enjoy the search itsel.
They enjoy the pursuit of spiritual and eternal ideas more than the possibility of any results that can be measured in everyday reality. But it should be understood that the same aspiration to understand such subtle ideas is what brings with it new and higher qualities of consciousnessas a side effect of the same aspiration.
